Employability CSR Programmes

This year, the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks have created a special campaign agenda. On the 4th of April, the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks focus on Employability CSR Programmes.

Organisations are invited to link their Action Weeks activities to the official #Morethanfootball agenda. For each day of the Action Weeks, the #Morethanfootball agenda pre-selects a topic of social relevance. The 4th of April is dedicated to employability.

Many football clubs, foundations, community trusts, football associations and leagues offer a wide range of progammes, including apprenticeships, traineeships, vocational qualifications, one-to-one employment support, and more. The success of these programmes comes from working with a wide range of partners including local authorities, grassroots community organisations, colleges, health advice and support providers,  and local businesses. Employability programmes aim to support young people and adults with a range of needs to become ‘work ready’, or to learn skills and behaviours that will enable personal development, social inclusion and community integration.
