Disability CSR programmes

This year, the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks have created a special campaign agenda.  The 30th of March is dedicated to disability community and social responsibility programmes.

Organisations are invited to link their Action Weeks activities to the official #Morethanfootball agenda. For each day of the Action Weeks, the #Morethanfootball agenda pre-selects a topic of social relevance.

On the 30th of March, clubs, foundations, community trusts, leagues and FA’s are invited to showcase the diversity of disability programmes that they are delivering on a local, national and international level. Many football organisations have developed programmes that provide football and physical activity opportunities for thousands of disabled children and adults each year. Such programmes are all-inclusive and there are teams available to those with any disability whether that be learning, physical, reduced stature, autism, cerebral palsy, deaf or partially-sighted.

Football organisations are invited to highlight how their programmes support disabled people into education, training, employment, volunteering and social opportunities, whilst tackling negative stigma in society and challenging the huge inequalities that still exist. Among others, we are looking forward to hearing more about clubs and their audio-descriptive assistance to people who have difficulties with their vision.
