Mental Health CSR Programmes

This year, the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks have created a special campaign agenda. On the 7th of April, the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks focus on Mental Health CSR Programmes.

Organisations are invited to link their Action Weeks activities to the official #Morethanfootball agenda. For each day of the Action Weeks, the #Morethanfootball agenda pre-selects a topic of social relevance. The 7th of April is dedicated to the very important societal topic of mental health.

Football is increasingly used to facilitate recovery in mental health services, often in partnership with football clubs. Football clubs and the charitable foundations set up and successfully deliver programmes for people with mental health problems which improve access to personal skills social capital and have other potential benefits. The Mental Health Programmes are being delivered by foundations in order to attempt to create an environment suitable for those living with mental health issues to become involved in health and wellbeing programmes through a person-centred, city-wide partnership approach for people living with such problems.
