Club Brugge joins #MoreThanFootball Action Week

From March 30th to April 9th, European football clubs, professional leagues and football associations can showcase their CSR activities with the campaign #MoreThanFootball. This campaign aims to put the social role of football in the spotlight. With the various initiatives of Club Brugge Foundation, it fulfills this important daily role in the community.

A ‘+’ for the society

Club Brugge is more than a football club. Besides the sporting and economic goals, Club Brugge is convinced that it has to play a major role in society. It does this by various initiatives through the Club Brugge Foundation.

This activities are provided at a local and national level, using the power of Club Brugge to give a ‘+’ to the society in terms of sports participation, inclusion, health and education. The ‘+’ also has a place on the right sleeve of the shirt of the Club first team. A strong signal to this social commitment.

10 years of the Club Brugge Foundation

Social responsibility in recent years has played an increasingly important role in professional football. Club Brugge Foundation was established in 2007 as a separate operation within the organization of the football club to perform as well as possible this social role. In 2017, Club Brugge Foundation celebrates its 10th anniversary. Following this mark, all projects were upgraded.

Over the years, the number of Foundation projects has grown, and the operation has become a leader in Belgium, with European recognition. As Club Brugge both in 2015 and in 2016 was awarded the Pro League + CSR Award, honoring the best operation in Belgium, say the league title in the social sphere.
