#MORETHANFOOTBALL ACTION WEEKS IMPACT REPORT 2019 PUBLISHED

From 19 March until 9 April 2019, European clubs, Leagues and FA’s joined forces to promote the social power of European football with the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks campaign. This third edition of the #Morethanfootball campaign was supported by the European Club Association (ECA), UEFA Foundation for Children and the European Football for Development Network (EFDN). Thanks to all the participants, the campaign was a huge success.

IMPRESSIVE NUMBERS

During the three-week campaign 106 participants from 30 countries around Europe, including Juventus FC, Everton in the Community, PSV Eindhoven, Real Sociedad, the Royal Belgian Football Association to name a few, took part in the campaign and promoted their fantastic community work.

On social media, an impressive amount of 33 million people and organisations, from football fans to fan clubs, amateur football clubs, and NGOs saw the power of football in relation to the #Morethanfootball campaign.

The 2019 #Morethanfootball Action Weeks Impact Report is now available here.

UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE & UEFA EUROPA LEAGUE

Thanks to the cooperation with the UEFA Foundation for Children, the Morethanfootball logo was displayed on LED-boards during all first-leg quarterfinals of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League on the 9th, 11th, 16th and 18th of April, which gave a huge impulse on the campaign.

#PASSITON VIDEOS

The 2019 #Morethanfootball video challenge was #Passiton which challenged players, fans, coaches and the general audience to share their story on why they believe that football is more than football to promote the power of football to change lives. To spread their #Morethanfootball story, the messages were shared and promoted across various social media channels to reach out to the entire European football family. The initial #Passiton promotional video alone had 293,595 views in total. Thank you all who contributed and took part.

The 2019 #Morethanfootball Action Weeks was a great campaign and we would again like to again thank everyone who took part. However because the impact of football is not limited to a 3-week period, let’s continue showcasing the power of football throughout the year and create a #Morethanfootball movement.
