Koninklijke Voetbalklub Oostende

Koninklijke Voetbalklub Oostende is a Belgian football club, located in Ostend, West Flanders. The club proudly wears the yellow, red and green colours. It has been concerned and active towards corporate social responsabilities, as the following examples show.

Playing for Success

Being in a classroom, always within the same four walls, can be difficult for children. In collaboration with the city of Ostend and the Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen (Howest), the KV Oostende is involved in the “Playing for Succes” project. This project is aimed at children in primary schools who are having difficulties and who may need a helping hand for various reasons. Therefore, primary school children receive lessons at the Diaz Arena in KV Oostende.

In the professional sporting environment of KV Oostende, the young participants are no longer in the classic classroom environment and receive lessons from motivated aspiring teachers from Howest. Through sports, games and learning activities, they work in a fun way to improve their motivation and self-confidence.

International Coastal CleanUp Day

On September 16, 2020, KVO players and coaches gathered on the beach to help pick up litter as part of the “International Coastal CleanUp Day”. The KVO players and technical staff walked the beach with a stick and trash bags and at the end of the day presented a check for € 1000 to the Proper Strand Runners to support their beach clean-up operation.
