Royal Excel Mouscron

A football club is more than a business project. A football club must be able to play an important role in its local community and bring together people from all walks of life. Beyond the organization of football matches, the Royal Excel Mouscron is committed to supporting and initiating local social projects. As a professional football club, the club’s impact in the media is enormous. The management and staff of Royal Excel Mouscron wish to use this notoriety to strengthen the club’s social responsibility.

Our goals are to make the club accessible to everyone, play a positive role in the community by setting up various projects, and develop the positive local and national image of the club. The Royal Excel Mouscron supports a number of projects coordinated by the Jupiler Pro League. Most of these projects are nationally driven and have a significant impact on the football community.

Football allows you to make friends

“The street football activity allows you to be part of a group, to have a positive goal, to stay in shape, to see the country and to make friends.”

Vincent Broucke, Homeless Royal Excel Mouscron Coach

This is the most beautiful job in the world

“When people ask me what’s my favorite part of working in a football club, I always tell them my job as a CSR manager. Being in contact with a diversity of people, helping them and seeing them forget their problems for a while is the most beautiful job in the world.”

Céline Mawet, CSR & Communications Manager at Royal Excel Mouscron

This goes beyond football fields

“This project goes beyond football fields. In fact, most asylum seekers have had difficult journeys. Being far from loved ones, as exiles, is not always easy. Getting together far from everyday worries feels like a bubble of oxygen for them.”

Mouad Salhi, Trainer of Royal Excel Refugees
