Tarkan Serbest & FK Austria Wien support SOCIUS
By supporting the non-profit organisation SOCIUS, FK Austria Wien is showing another time their social commitment. The organisation aims at helping people in Austria, who are finding themselves in life circumstances of poverty and destitution. The social project was selected by FK Austria’s Player Tarkan Serbst. He also launched a facebook website, dedicated to the purpose of the initiative.
SOCIUS is a non-commercial disposal firm for old electronic devices, as among others, mobile phones, laptops, computer, screens, printers and cables. After the collection of the devices, these are being thoroughly checked, in order to then remove harmful and defect parts. These, and missing parts, are being replaced. Additionally, the electronics receive a software update.
By means of this process, the electronic devices become so-called Re-Use products. The devices are then distributed to families, which do not have the financial means to purchase the electronics.
The organisation specifically focuses on supporting students and young adults, since electronical devices are playing a more and more crucial role in today’s school education. However, families and children living below the poverty line have often not the possibility to purchase laptops and computers. SOCIUS aims at helping this societal group in order to prevent an educational disadvantage.
When can electrical devices be handed in?
During the #Morethanfootball Action Week, there will be two opportunities to hand in equipment:
- 01. April.2017- Game against Admira (at the Fanmobil infront of the Ernst Happel Stadion)
- 07.April.2017- Generali- Arena infront of the East stand
Every person supporting the action by providing equipment will receive two tickets for the home match against St. Polten (Staurday 08 April. 2017, 18:30h)
Tarkan Serbest & FK Austria Wien unterstützen SOCIUS
Der FK Austria Wien setzt zum wiederholten Male ein soziales Zeichen, unterstützt ab sofort die Non-Profit-Organisation SOCIUS. Deren Ziel ist es, Menschen in Not und Armut in Österreich zu helfen. Das Projekt wurde von Austria-Spieler Tarkan Serbest ausgesucht, der für seine Projekte auch eine eigene Facebook-Seite ins Leben gerufen hat.
SOCIUS ist ein sozialer Entsorgungsbetrieb für Altgeräte wie Handys, Laptops, PCs, PC-Zubehör, Drucker, Kabeln, usw. Die werden gesammelt und dann einer umfassenden technischen Überprüfung unterzogen. Dabei werden schadhafte Teile ausgetauscht, fehlende Komponenten nachgerüstet und die Geräte mit neuer Software ausgestattet. Somit entstehen ReUse-Geräte, die dann bedürftigen Familien, die sich sonst keine Geräte leisten können, zur Verfügung gestellt werden.
Ein Fokus liegt darin Schüler zu unterstützen, denn heutzutage gehören Computer und Internet in Österreichs Schulen zur notwendigen Ausstattung, Familien mit Kindern, die unter der Armutsgrenze leben müssen, haben allerdings oft keine Möglichkeit einen Computer anzuschaffen. Hier will SOCIUS helfen, um zu vermeiden, dass diese Kinder dadurch einen Bildungsnachteil haben.
Wann können Geräte abgegeben werden?
Am 01.04. Spiel gegen die Admira beim Fanmobil vor dem Ernst Happel Stadion
Am 07.04. bei der Generali-Arena am Vorplatz der Osttribüne.
Jeder Unterstützer erhält bei der Abgabe zwei Karten für unser Heimspiel gegen St. Pölten (Sa., 8.4., 18:30 Uhr).
Was kann abgegeben werden?
Jegliche Art von Elektroaltgeräten, egal ob funktionsfähig oder nicht, z.B. Handys, Computer, Laptops, PC-Zubehör…
