Club Brugge participates in #MoreThanFootball Action Week

European soccer teams, profliga’s and soccer associations unite from March 30 until April 9 within the campaign #MoreThanFootball. This campaign wants to pay attention to the societal role of soccer teams. Club Brugge plays this important role on a daily basis by means of the Club Brugge Foundation that takes care of many different initiatives. Club Brugge support this action during next couple of days.

A ‘+’ for the society

Club Brugge is more than a soccer team. Club Brugge does not only have sportive and economic goals but is also aware of its bigger societal role. The Club Brugge Foundation was founded because of Club’s societal awareness.

Club Brugge wants to have a positive impact on the society in different ways: sports participation, integration, health and education. The ‘+’ sign was therefore put on the Clubshirts of the first team.

Club Brugge Foundation was founded in 2007 to fill in this societal role in the best possible way. Club Brugge Foundation celebrates their 10th birthday in 2017. As a result, all projects got an upgrade.

The number of Foundation projects has grown and the work of the Foundation is recognized in Belgium and in Europe. In both, 2015 and 2016, Club Brugge got the Pro League+ CSR Award as a reward for the best CSR work in Belgium.
