#Morethanfootball is a campaign led by the European Football for Development Network (EFDN). It offers professional European football clubs, leagues and FAs a platform through which they can share the social initiatives, campaigns and programmes they deliver in communities.
From 15 September to 11 October 2020, clubs like FC Barcelona, Juventus FC, Liverpool FC, SL Benfica, Feyenoord Rotterdam, Club Brugge and over 80 other clubs, leagues and FAs come together for the 2020 #Morethanfootball Action Weeks to celebrate the work the do off the pitch to positively impact their communities and fulfill their social responsibilities.
EFDN will hand out the More than Football Award powered by Musco Lighting for the best project promoted during the #Morethanfootball Action Weeks, which will be assessed not only on the quality of the project but also on the level of promotion and engagement.
Last year, the campaign reached more than 33 million people through social media. We hope to widen that reach this year to continue promoting the social power of football to the European and global community.
